Return to Work Animated Videos

On behalf of WorkSafeBC –>

WorkSafeBC has created two new animated videos about return-to-work (RTW), for workers and employers, and they invite you to share them as you see fit.

The videos were created to support injured workers and their employers with better understanding their RTW obligations, what to expect after a workplace injury, their role in the recovery process, and the benefits of collaborating and supporting a timely recovery and safe return to work.

Learn more by watching the short videos:

The video for employers highlights return-to-work obligations and the employer’s responsibility to report a workplace injury or disease.  The video for workers reinforces the benefits of staying connected to the workplace after an injury and co-creating a return-to-work plan that defines how and when they can gradually return to regular duties. It also helps workers understand what a suitable work offer is and explains the worker’s responsibility to accept it if it’s reasonable.

Employers and workers are encouraged to view the videos online by select claims letters they may receive throughout the claims process. They may also come across them on WorkSafeBC’s YouTube channel, and social media posts. Employers who have signed up for training from our Consultation and Education team in Return to Work Services may discover the videos in a course or see them spotlighted if they have subscribed to WorkSafeBC’s Health and Safety Enews.
