From: Diana Miles, President and CEO
It is with very mixed feelings that I am sharing the news that after 19 years with WorkSafeBC, Trevor Alexander will be leaving us in the middle of March. Trevor has advised me that he has accepted the position of President & Chief Executive Officer with WCB Alberta. Trevor has dedicated his career to workers compensation and his new leadership role at Alberta’s Board will be the next step of his journey.
Trevor has been a respected and valued member of our executive team with exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record of achieving excellent results. His achievements and contributions to WorkSafeBC and BC’s workers compensation system are many and significant.
Since joining WorkSafeBC in 1999, Trevor has held a number of increasingly senior positions including Claims Services Manager, Director Interior North Region, CMS Project Director, Executive Director WES, Vice President Claims Services and as of 2014, Senior Vice President WES. He has gained a broad understanding of all aspects of our organization over the years and is strongly committed to our prevention, assessments and claims mandates. Over the years, he played a key leadership role in strategic planning, championing our transformational service journey and development of new and innovative programs and services.
Throughout his career, Trevor has been dedicated to service excellence and to supporting staff in delivering effective programs and exceptional service to workers and employers. Under his leadership, major changes have taken place in occupational health and safety, assessments and claims services.
Trevor can leave WorkSafeBC knowing he has truly made a difference and helped us set our course for the future. He will be missed.
Please join with me in thanking Trevor for his significant contributions to WorkSafeBC and to all of those we serve.
Over the next period of time, work will commence on the recruitment processes required.
