Industry and Labour Services would like to inform you of WorkSafeBC Prevention Field Services’ (PFS) spring inspection plan. With the change in weather and increasing longer days, residential construction activity is increasing. Unfortunately with the increase in activity, the risk of falls from heights increases as well.
The Bulletin describes the PFS inspection plan of active residential wood frame construction sites. WorkSafe’s plan is to implement a weekend inspection enforcement initiative primarily focussing on preventing fall hazards, safe ladder use and safe scaffolding. This plan is a part of WorkSafeBC’s Construction High Risk Strategy.
