The Policy, Regulation and Research Division (“PRRD”) would like to thank you all for your submissions on the Certificate of Recognition Program. The stakeholder feedback received by the Board of Directors informed its decision-making on the policy changes. Stakeholder comments are available to view from clicking on the links to the 2017 consultation and the 2018consultation.
On November 22, 2018, the Board of Directors approved new policies for the Certificate of Recognition Program, Items AP1-42-4 of the Assessment Manualand D2-111-4 of the Prevention Manual. The policies apply to all decisions made on or after January 1, 2019, except for financial incentive decisions relating to a violation of the Workers Compensation Act (“Act”) or the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation(“OHSR”) that occurred before January 1, 2019.
The interim policies will continue to apply as if unexpired but only in respect of financial incentive decisions relating to a violation of the Act or OHSRthat occurred before January 1, 2019
