Joint Health and Safety Committee Evaluation Tool

August 5, 2016

WorkSafeBC’s governing body, the Board of Directors, approved public hearings on proposed regulatory changes, including proposed changes regarding joint health and safety committees. One of the proposed new sections of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation relates to the annual evaluation of joint committees.

In preparation for the anticipated regulatory change, WorkSafeBC has prepared a draft Joint Health and Safety Committee Evaluation Tool, which has been posted to our website for you to provide comment. Note that the draft evaluation tool will not be considered as part of the public hearings.

The draft evaluation tool, and information on how to provide feedback, can be accessed through the link below.

The consultation period for this item will end on Friday October 7, 2016. WorkSafeBC will consider stakeholder feedback before finalizing the evaluation tool.
