Last Chance! Comment on proposed changes to First Aid Regulations

Feedback deadline 4:30 pm on Friday, October 8, 2021.

WorkSafeBC’s Policy, Regulation and Research Division is seeking feedback on proposed amendments to the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation. The consultation phase provides stakeholders an opportunity to share feedback before the proposed amendments are taken to public hearing.

There are two proposed regulatory amendment packages under review:

  • Part 3, Minimum Levels of First Aid
  • Parts 14 and 19, Inconsistent Crane Misadventure and Zone Limiting Devices in Tower Cranes

View the proposed regulatory amendments and information on how to provide feedback.

Note that the First Aid changes are significant, and may have a significant impact on small employers. COCA has responded to the request for feedback indicating that the proposed Tables of requirements be removed. A copy of COCA’s response is attached.

PLEASE submit a response on behalf of your Association or company directly. Your voice matters! Feel free to plagiarize as necessary from the COCA letter – it’s about the number of responses provided and not necessarily the represented companies.
