One worker was killed and two others injured at a Chilliwack construction site this morning.

According to WorkSafeBC spokesperson Trish Knight-Chernecki, WorkSafeBC responded to the incident that occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m. this morning. Three workers were injured, one fatally, when a concrete pumping truck fell forward at a residential construction site in Chilliwack.

One of the injured workers was air-lifted to hospital where they are in critical condition.

WorkSafeBC officers are at the worksite to begin an investigation and its critical incident support staff will be working with the families and co-workers.

Knight-Chernecki would not confirm what project the team was working on or the workers’ employer. However, ambulances responded to 45526 Tamihi Way, the site of Garrison Crossing, where townhouse projects are underway.
