A worker changing out power poles was in the elevated bucket of a bucket truck. The worker was struck by a de-energized power line and knocked out of the bucket. The worker, who was not hooked into the fall protection system, fell 20 feet to the ground.

While performing ground excavation activities to install parking lot light posts, an excavator contacted a 3-inch gas line that serviced a large industrial complex. The police and fire department were contacted, and about 200 people were evacuated until the utility company could locate and contain the gas leak. No injuries were reported.
