A roofing company working on a Richmond home is being fined once again by the provincial work safety watchdog.
WorkSafeBC gave Hardworking Roofing Service Ltd. a $6,086.26 fine on May 1 after several workers were found on a sloped roof with no proper fall protection.
The firm was replacing the gutters on a house when WorkSafeBC inspectors saw that the workers were exposed to a fall risk of at least 5.2 metres.
Failing to provide fall protection is a high-risk violation, according to WorkSafe BC.
“The firm also failed to ensure portable ladders providing access to an upper landing were secured and failed to provide its workers with the information, instruction, training, and supervision to ensure their health and safety,” reported WorkSafeBC on its website.
This is a repeated violation for Hardworking Roofing Service.
