Do you work with asbestos in B.C.? You are invited to attend a webinar to learn about mandatory requirements that we are implementing to help keep workers safe from the dangers of asbestos.
What you’ll learn
As of January 1, 2024, anyone performing asbestos abatement work must complete mandatory safety training and obtain certificates.
Tim Loblaw, Certification Services manager at WorkSafeBC, will help you understand this requirement by providing an overview of:
- Asbestos abatement certification basics
- Finding an approved training provider
- Assessments and exams
- Recognition of previous training
- Accessibility and accommodations
You’ll also have an opportunity to ask questions during a live Q&A.
How to register
Virtual sessions are planned for the following dates (all times listed are Pacific time zone):
- Wednesday, Sept 13, 2023, 4:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.
- Thursday, Oct 5, 2023, 4:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.
