On behalf of the Rise Memorial Foundation, we are sharing a major memorial project that is anticipated to start construction in March 2025 in Kelowna, BC.
The project’s name is RISE Memorial and it is a proposed commemorative garden space in
downtown Kelowna in remembrance of the five young men (Cailen Vilness, Jared Zook, Brad Zawislak, Eric Stemmer, and Patrick Stemmer) who tragically lost their lives in a horrific crane collapse at Brooklyn Towers in Kelowna, BC on July 12, 2021. This crane collapse was one of the deadliest workplace accidents in British Columbia’s recent history and had a lasting impact on our community.
